Netball star Mwawi Kumwenda could seriously be pondering on her behaviour.
Despite being Malawi netball’s star player, the Australian based netball icon was sent out of the Malawi national netball team camp for indiscipline.
Reports say she was sent home from camp having reported a ‘few days’ after other players joined camp.
The team is scheduled to leave for the Fast5 tournament on Sunday, October 22, 2017.
However, Mwawi had reportedly informed Netball Association of Malawi (NAM) she had other engangements which would delay her turning up for the camp.
But NAM went ahead to expel the shooter from camp.
However, Malawians have reacted angrily to this news.
Some argue that the fact that NAM had gotten initial communication from Mwawi, it does not hold water for the association to expel the player without the knowledge of the technical panel.
Mwawi has overtime been Malawi’s netball top athlete having helped the team reach greater heights such as a fifth place finish at the previous Fast5 tournament.
NAM is reportedly not rescinding its decision on the matter.
