Houseboy nabbed for stealing from boss

Police in Malawi’s commercial city of Blantyre have arrested a 27 year-old man for stealing from his Ugandan boss.

The suspect, Wyton Nyemba is reported to have stolen property worth K1.5 million from his employer.

Confirming to Malawi24, Blantyre Police assistant spokesperson Andrew Mayawo said the police got a complaint from the Ugandan Adair Kauzira.

“At first it was unknown criminal but police investigation on the matter have led to the arrest of the suspect,” said Mayawo.

He added that the Police have since recovered the stolen property that include upright fridge, Plasma TV, TV stand, Electric cooker, and two DSTV decoders.

The suspect is yet to appear in court to answer charges of theft contrary to section 278 of the penal code.

Nyemba comes from Dalankwanda village, Tradition Authority (TA) Maganga in Salima district.
