36 year old Grace Mhango has disclosed that she was Gwanda Chakuamba’s second wife and that she married him in 2001 when she was just 21 years old. Chakuamba was 67 years old when the two ‘wedded’.
Mhango made the chilling revelations just a day after late Chakuamba’s burial
Mhango claimed that she married Chakuamba a few months after the two were introduced to each other by Chakufwa Chihana.
She disclosed that he offered her a job to disguise their marriage. He however introduced her to his relatives including the ‘first’ wife, Raima Fatch, as second wife.
She also revealed that Fatch dumped Chakuamba during his illness that that she (Mhango) was the one who looked after him at her Manja residence in Blantyre where she convened the press conference.
She has thus asked the Malawi police to arrest Chakuamba’s ‘first’ wife, Raima Fatch who confirmed knowing Mhango but could not comment whether she was Gwanda’s ‘second’ wife.
Chakuamba died aged 82 and, if Mhango’s claims are true, she married him when he was 67.

Iam also from Nsanje north but this so called dubious second wife is not known by the relatives of the late Mbuya. Where did they tie a knot ? Was a traditional culture wedding or christian culture?
