Azam Tigers have Super League’s meanest defence
Azam Tigers football club is the team that has shown seriousness in defence having conceded the fewest goals in the TNM Super League this season.
According to a report that has been released, as at the end of week 22 of the league, a total 358 goals had been scored with Richard Mbulu of MAFCO having the highest number of goals.
The Kau-Kau boys have had the most fabulous and stubborn backline as they have let in only nine goals while 2015 champions Nyasa Big Bullets have allowed in 11 goals from 19 matches.
MTV Max-Bullets who are on position 16 with seven points and rookies Karonga United have been termed to be the teams having the most porous defences for allowing their goal minders collect the ball from behind the goal 40 times each.
Meanwhile, Mafco have found the back of the net more times than any other side in the league with 34 goals after playing 19 matches.
