In a very swift twist of events, Flames and Black Aces defender Limbikani Mzava has opted to sign for Golden Arrows instead of Orlando Pirates who were linked with a move to sign him.

The 23 year old former Escom United and Bloemfontein Celtic defender was highly linked with a move to the Soweto giants but according to Kickoff.com of South Africa, Mzava is very much interested in joining Arrows than Pirates.

The right footed defender will be the second Malawian to play for Arrows if the deal materializes. Gabadinho Mhango once played for Arrows in the just ended Premier Soccer League (PSL).

It is believed that Mzava is interested in relocating to Durban hence snubbing Pirates for Arrows.

Mzava, who is Flames Captain, was not part of Malawi’s squad that lost 3-nil to Zimbabwe some weeks ago and went on to miss the on-going Cosafa Castle Senior Challenge Cup in Namibia due to a hamstring injury sustained last season with his club in the PSL.
