The High Court in Lilongwe has adjourned to June 1 2016, the matter in which Cashgate convict Victor Sithole is appealing against his sentence and conviction.
Sithole, was in November 2014 jailed for nine on various charges related to the Cashgate before he appealed against the ruling.
Sithole, a former Assistant Accountant in the government was found guilty of being found in possession of unexplained cash suspected to have been stolen amounting to K112 million , $31 800 (about K13.6 million) and R122 400 (about K4.5 million) in hard cash which was found at his house in Area 47 in September 2013.
Sithole was the first cashgate suspect after police, acting on a tip off, found millions of cash stashed at back of the Toyota Fortuner.
Police investigations after the vehicle was seized uncovered that it was stolen in South Africa and traced it to Msungama as the source.
His appeal hearing had failed to start in December last year after Judge Charles Mkandawire who was expected to start hearing the matter had miscellaneous assignments.
Other court procedures have forced the case to resume next month.
