Man mercilessly killed in Ntchisi

Blood.Police in Ntchisi district have mounted a manhunt of people who murdered 56-year-old John Mgomezulu on Sunday night.

Mgomezulu was murdered on Sunday night April 3 2016 at Msopa Village in the area of Traditional Authority Malenga in Ntchisi.

Police report indicate that Mgomezulu left his home village, Mtuta, for Bowe Trading Centre on Sunday April 3 2016 to watch football match around 12pm, but he did not return home until on Monday April 4 2016 when he was found dead along Bowe-Chimbalu road around 9am.

The matter was reported to police and the scene was visited. The body was viewed and marks of violence were seen.

A postmortem conducted at Kamsonga Health Centre revealed that death was caused due to head injuries and foul play suspected.

Meanwhile, police investigations are underway.

The deceased comes from Mtuta Village in the area of Traditional Authority Malenga in Ntchisi.
