The Super League of Malawi (Sulom) has said it will close the ongoing transfer window on March 31.
Sulom General Secretary Williams Banda told the media that his association will not allow any transfer after the 31st march 2016.
“The ongoing transfer window will be closed on the 31st March, 2016 and we will not allow any transfers after this date as such teams are advised to finalize their transfer in time,” he said.
Mighty Wanderers, Big Bullets and Silver Strikers are some of the teams that have been busy in the ongoing transfer window.
However, Mighty Wanderers coach Jack Chamangwana has said his team will buy a new defender and goalkeeper before the close of the transfer window.
Meanwhile, Sulom has said that starting from the coming season they will have names of players printed on the back of player’s jersey.
The Sulom general secretary has said teams have already been informed of the new development and have been asked to submit player names and numbers so that they should print their names on the kits that will be used this season.
“We have asked teams to submit names and numbers of players so that we should print them on the back of the jersey that will be used this season,” said Banda.
