Govt to launch Buy Malawi Strategy

WorkThe Malawi government through the ministry of industry and trade will on Friday launch the Buy Malawi Strategy (BMS).

Secretary in the ministry, Cliff Chiunda, said the launch will happen in the capital city Lilongwe at the Bingu International Conference Centre.

Buy Malawi Strategy is a policy whose main aim is to encourage the purchasing of locally produced goods and services through deliberate interventions.

BMS complements government’s mission which is to promote industry, trade, and private sector development for sustainable economic growth of the country.

The official launch of BMS will be presided over by President Peter Mutharika.

The ministry responsible has invited the private sector, diplomatic corps, NGOs, civil societies, the media and the general public to the launch.

  2. My friend from America purchased numerous curios wood carviings to take home helping local carvers around Zomba only to be told at the airport you cannot export wood products and the items were taken by the police,

    So much for choosening Malawian Products
