Mighty Wanderers have today registered another crucial 2-1 against Salima based soldiers Mafco fc at Balaka stadium.

Two First half and second half goals from Peter Wadabwa and Jimmy Zakazaka was enough for the Nomads to beat Mafco fc 2-1.

The match started on an impressive note as both Mafco and Wanderers were in search for an early opener in the opening minutes of the first half but they all failed to break the deadlock and both sides defended well.

But it was the Nomads who first break the deadlock in the first half after the Nomads striker Peter Wadabwa scored his second goal n the Nomads jersey to make it 1-0.

After that goal Mafco fc started dominating possession and they scored their consolation goal to make it 1-1 before half time.

Come second half the Nomads started putting more pressure on the Salima based soldiers as they were in search for their second goal of the afternoon but they failed to score their second goal as Mafco defenders defended jealously.

A few minutes into the second half the Nomads were awarded a penalty to double their lead and jimmy Zakazaka step up for the challenge and his shot was saved by the Mafco goal minder.

Shortly after the penalty Jimmy Zakazaka scored the Nomads second goal in the second half through a bullet header after he received an excellent cross from Patrick Gunde’s free kick to make it 2-1 in favor for the Nomads and the game ended 2-1 in favour for the Nomads.
