Mussa says govt will not relent on the colleges.

The ministry of labour and manpower development says the community technical colleges programs will continue despite the reduction in the money allocated to the ministry.

Minister of labour and manpower development Henry Mussa said development partners have shown interest in funding the construction of the community colleges hence there is no need to worry.

“There is no need to panic that there has been a reduction in vote allocated to the ministry of labour as development partners are interested in helping community colleges in the country,” said Mussa.

He added that all programs will be implemented and the ministry of finance has assured his ministry that in July this year they will be allocated more money.

Mussa further said that president Peter Mutharika has the youths of Malawi at heart as he is championing the empowerment of youths.

Community colleges were established with the aim of addressing the country’s low employment rate.
