Tay Grin dating Chanco students this weekend

One of Malawi’s hip pop greats, Tay Grin, has confirmed that he is dating students at University of Malawi’s Chancellor College.

The Nyau King who is currently in South Africa for music video shoot for his Chipapapa, a song  that was released with Nigeria’s 2 Baba about a month ago, posted on Facebook: “Chanco its going down this weekend, it’s going to be a Chipapapa weekend, don’t miss out”.

Students that Malawi24 interviewed said the show will revitalise them from the headaches inflicted on them due to the time spent on guzzling books and chasing deadlines on assignments.

Donnex Maliro, a third year humanities student said that if it was possible for time to rocket, then he would have opted for that.

Tay Grin will share the Great Hall stage at Chancellor College with other heavyweights in the music industry such as Chileka based reggae group, the Black Missionaries as well as Anthony Makondesa. Lilongwe based artist, Skeffa Chimoto, is also on the menu, lined up for the Friday night show.

Instead of using the word performing they have used the word dating and you know what most people will think about that. There are different words used in different fields for example we say ” he has been discharged from hospital and not released as if one has been in police custody.” Not everybody is interested in reading long stories but believe me if right words were used there would be no confusion.
