Social commentators in the country have taken turns to lambast the Malawi’s Public Affairs Committee (PAC) over their just ended 5th stakeholders conference.

In posts on social media that Malawi24 has monitored, a section of Malawians are not happy with the way the religious grouping is conducting it’s meetings.

DPP cadet Greyson Chapita who announced that he was quitting his positions as the ruling party’s cadet took to social media to discredit the meeting claiming it’s useless.

“They met to tell us that we have problems which we already know,” Chapita posted on his timeline. “They didn’t offer any solutions.”

His opinion received the support of other Malawians who also felt short charged by the gathering whose influence dates back to the early 90s when the church influenced regime change.

Journalist George Mkandawire also had no kind words for the conference. He said the conference was just a waste of money which the religious leaders could have used to buy maize and distribute it like Shepherd Bushiri.

Other commentators said PAC has lost the mandate it had.
