Mighty Wanderers trustee Rashid Gaffar has promised to give each of the club’s players a bonus of K1 million if the team wins this year’s Super League.

Speaking during Wanderers’ executive committee elections on Saturday morning, the business tycoon, who is also a Member for Parliament from Blantyre, said time has come for the team to win the championship and participate in Africa’s continental showpiece next year.

“I would love to see the team travelling to Egypt, Ivory Coast, Nigeria, South Africa and many more African countries to play in the CAF Champions League.

“This will only be made possible if these players win this year’s championship and let me assure them that I  will reward them K1 million each if they win the Super League,” said Gaffar.

He also added that Nomads executive will ask sponsors Be Forward from Japan to provide loans for players’ vehicles.

The billionaire was also quick to promise the players that once they win the league, they will spend a month in Japan for off-season break.

The Nomads have had an 11 year Super League drought but are optimistic of grabbing the title this year following the arrival of some new players at the club in the on-going transfer market.
