Malawi’s ex ruling Peoples Party (PP) has fired the Provincial Chairperson in the Northern Region, Christopher Mzomera Ngwira, Malawi24 has learnt.
According to reports this publication as of of this morning, Ngiwra has been axed over the recent mayhem he has been casing within the party.
According to the party’s Secretary General, Ibrahim Matola, Ngwira was not elected at a convention but appointed when previous provincial chairpersons left the party.
Matola says that Ngwira has been fired over what he termed as his “undemocratic line of thinking.”
PP has since disclosed that it intends to pen the speaker of the National Assembly to reallocate Ngwira in Parliament when meeting resumes in twenty days time.
Some days ago, Ngwira was reported to have been one of a rivalry grouping that stopped the party’s stand in leader Uladi Mussa from holidng a rally in the Nortthen region.
Ngwira has been calling on the party to appoint Khumbo Kachali as president and not Mussa as appointed by the party’s leader Joyce Banda.
