Gwaladi: His case continues in court.

The court case against Malawi’s popular street-performer, Joe Gwaladi, in which he is accused of  raping a 14 year-old girl will resume tomorrow at Phalombe First Grade Magistrate Court.

Gwaladi was arrested by Phalombe Police in May last year on suspicion that he defiled a 14 year-old girl. The Tumbocid hit maker hired lawyer Chancy Gondwe and he was released on court bail. He was ordered to pay a bail bond of K100,000 by first grade magistrate Damson Banda.

Phalombe Police Spokesperson, Augustus Nkhwazi, confirmed to the media last week that the case will be back in court on January 19.

However, the publicist did not explain why the case is dragging saying it is being handled by state prosecutors.

The “Ndikanadziwa sindinakapanga” star, denied the charges of defilement levelled against him.
