Went furious: Kasambara

Kasambara lost his tempers during the as cross examination of witnesses continued in court.

In court, Kasambara gave his  focus on the gun assigned to his former body guard, Keston Gani, and one used to shoot Mphwiyo.

Gani told the court that detectives under orders from former deputy police boss Bophani and former DPP Bruno Kalemba pressured him to implicate Kasambara.

“I was promised a higher rank and job security to implicate Kasambara,” says the ex-bodyguard.”

But Kachale pressed Gani to explain absence of the allegation that he was pressured to implicate Kasambara in his affidavit.

This saw tempers rising between Kasambara and Kachale, something which forced judge Mtambo to call for minute of recess.

“Respect yourself madam, I don’t want to lose my temper,” Kasambara told Kachale.

Kachale accused Kasambara of misleading line of questioning to witness Gani.

The case continues in court.

Mphwiyo’s shooting is said to have led to revelations into massive looting of funds at the capital hill, a scandal better known as Cashgate.
