Devotion:You are not alone

Joh 14:16-17  “And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.”

Life is spiritual. We cannot live life alone without some supernatural help, otherwise we will fail. The father cannot allow His children to live a defeated life. He therefore provided a supernatural companion to assist us in everything that we do. This is the Holy Spirit. From the day you got born again, He came to live and dwell in you.

1Co 6:19  “What? Don’t you know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have received of God, and you are not your own?”

He came to live in us not for a day but forever. Whether you sin or not, the Holy Spirit still dwells in you. He is the one who convicts you of the sin till you repent and start living a Godly life.

You are no alone.

If He leaves when you sin, no one will convict you of the sin. David after he sinned with Bathsheba, the Holy Spirit never left Him. The Spirit convicted Him after the Prophet had come to enlighten him of the sin. In Psalm 51 which is the aftermath of the incidence, David asked God not to remove this Spirit from Him even though there was iniquity in Him.

This means the Spirit had not yet left him though he had iniquity. Psalm 51:9-11  “Hide thy face from my sins, and blot out all mine iniquities. Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me. Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me.”

The Spirit mission is not just for sin conviction but also to Help us to live a supernormal life. He makes us to live the life of God on Earth.

John 14:12  “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

When He went to the Father Jesus left with us the Holy Spirit and He is the one who helps us to do things beyond what Jesus did on earth.

Jesus Himself, when He was on earth did all he did  because of the Holy Spirit.

Act 10:38  “How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.”

The Spirit gives life and energy to our bodies to do supernatural and even to get healed in time of sicknesses.

Rom 8:11  “But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also give life your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwells in you.”

He doesn’t wait till the sickness attacks you to give life to your body. He is also proactive. When an enemy comes in to attack, He raises a standard to protect you.

Isa 59:19  … “When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a standard against him.”.

He gives us competitive advantage by revealing the secrets of the Father to us before anybody else knows them. It means we have potential to even do better businesses not yet explored but revealed to us by the Spirit. These secrets cannot be comprehended by a natural man because they may look as if they are a foolish idea. Don’t be discouraged, if it is an idea by the Spirit, pursue the idea till it materializes. Don’t  even think whether somebody has ever done it or not. It may be brand new but its doable.

1 Cor 2:7-14  “But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory: Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.

But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God. For what man knows the things of a man, except the spirit of man which is in him?

Even so the things of God knoweth  no man, but the Spirit of God. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teaches, but which the Holy Ghost teaches; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. But the natural man receives not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.”

Confess with me: I am a supernatural man because I live and am led by the Spirit. I have the Spirit in me who helps me do the impossible. I live the life beyond limits and can never be disadvantaged. In Jesus Name. Amen.
