The Football Association of Malawi (FAM) has announced that Flames coach Ernest Mtawali has resolved to fire goalkeeper’s trainer Phillip Nyasulu in favor of Big Bullets goalkeeper’s trainer Swadick Sanudi.
The Fa confirmed the development through their Facebook page on Tuesday afternoon. “Big Bullets’ Swadick Sanudi has joined Flames camp replacing Phillip Nyasulu as a goalkeeper trainer following a recommendation from Coach Ernest Mtawali,” said the Fa on their official Facebook page.
The association’s general secretary failed to highlight more on the development saying Mtawali himself will communicate to the media as to why Nyasulu was fired.
Meanwhile, Mighty Wanderers forward Victor Nyirenda has joined camp replacing the injured Bullets forward Chiukepo Msowoya who sustained a thigh injury at Chitowe Stadium a fortnight ago during his side’s 1-nil victory over Mafco FC in a league.
Msowoya had a medical scan on Wednesday at Beit Cure International to find out the extent of the injury.
Malawi squad comprised of local players is camping in readiness of the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier away to Tanzania on 4 October before a return leg on 11 October.
