FCB Nyasa Big Bullets are the 2025/26 Castel Challenge Cup champions, becoming the first team to win the trophy twice after beating Goshen City Dedza Dynamos 2-1 at Bingu National Stadium in Lilongwe on Saturday.

The first half ended goalless, with both sides cautious. Dedza Dynamos defended well, while Bullets’ Hassan Kajoke threatened early, narrowly missing a chance in the 11th minute.

In the 57th minute, Kajoke broke the deadlock, capitalizing on a miscommunication between Dynamos’ goalkeeper and defender to slot into an empty net.

Bullets extended their lead in the 82nd minute with a penalty, again converted by Kajoke after a foul on him in the box.

Dedza Dynamos responded immediately, pulling one back through Chikondi Mbeta Jr in the 87th minute following a defensive error.

In stoppage time, Dynamos pressed for an equalizer, but a powerful free kick from Lughano Kaira was brilliantly saved by Bullets goalkeeper Innocent Nyasulu.

Bullets held on to win 2-1, with Kajoke’s brace and Nyasulu’s heroics securing the historic double and making them the first team to lift the Castel Challenge Cup twice.
