Mighty Mukuru Wanderers lost 1-0 to Moyale Barracks in a Tnm Super League match at Kamuzu Stadium.

Moyale scored in the 8th minute of the game through Brown Magaga.

Wanderers used tactics of passing ball but their striking force of Muhammad Sulumba failed to break the solid defence of Moyale headed by Ntopijo Njewa,  Innocent Bottoman, Boy Boy Chima and Lusekero Malema.

In the second half, the Nomads pulled out some players including Sulumba for Chiukepo Msowoya but the changes did not help as Moyale goalkeeper McDonald Harawa did everything to save his team.

Speaking after the game, Moyale Barracks football team Coach Prichard Mwansa said their aim was to get maximum points.

“Our tactic was to find an early goal, we are happy to win this game, and we want to end the league in style this coming Saturday against Bullets,” said Mwansa.

Wanderers coach Alex Ngwira said his boys were tired.

He, however, said his side will fight to finish second in the league.

“The battle on second position is becoming tough now but we will make sure to fight in the last three games to win,” said Ngwira.

Moyale’s goal stopper McDonald Harawa was voted man of the match.

The result keeps Moyale on position 7 with 46 points from 29 games while Wanderers are on position 5 with 50 points from 27 games played.
