UDF not joining MCP

…Mia cannot buy us, Ndanga

United Democratic Front (UDF) Publicity Secretary Ken Ndanga posted a cryptic posted Facebook, saying UDF cannot be bought like Malawi Congress Party (MCP) by Mia, one of the well-known livestock farmers.

Ndanga suggested that the former ruling UDF is not looking to join forces with the MCP as claimed by some MCP supporters.

Ndanga: UDF will not work with MCP

“A political party which has all along been saying that UDF is finished is daring it to a verbal war. They are all over claiming that UDF wants to join them.  They think UDF is so desperate and yet it is them who are so desperate,” Ndanga said.

He also claimed that the UDF cannot be bought by businessman Mia – who joined the MCP in 2017 and is now the party’s running mate in the 2019 elections.

“They think the man who has bought a diluted the fabric of their party with some few kilograms of beef can also buy the UDF. It will not happen!” Ndanga said.

The Malawi Congress Party has so far entered into an alliance with the People’s Party which is led by former President Joyce Banda.

Ndanga’s UDF will be represented by Atupele Muluzi in the 2019 elections but reports show that Muluzi is willing to withdraw his presidential bid and endorse one of the major presidential candidates.

One comment on “UDF not joining MCP

  1. It will do better if UDF can join DPP as Peter seems paying off for the atrocities of Bingu who dumped UDF. It can do Atupele very good as he may be one of those to lead the coalition in 2024. I can see Atupele leading and Nankhumwa being the runningmate. What a combination!
