Flames three steps down on FIFA rankings

The Malawi national football team, the Flames have slipped three places when the November FIFA rankings were released on Thursday by the World’ soccer governing body.

Malawi are now ranked as the 103rd best side in the world and they are on number 28th in Africa.

They were on position 100 last month and 27th in Africa.

The Flames have not been active ever since they played Swaziland in September during their final 2017 African Cup of Nations qualifier at Kamuzu Stadium.

Meanwhile, Senegal and Ivory Coast have dropped one and three places respectively, but remain first and second in Africa.

Globally, Argentina still top the rankings, while Brazil have leapfrogged Germany into second spot.
