Miss Blantyre auditions scheduled for Saturday
Malawi’s glamorous beauty pageant, Miss Blantyre, will this coming Saturday take a giant step towards 4th November for the grand finale as models to fight for the crown at Comesa Hall will be selected.
Malawi Sun Hotels will be a destination to visit this coming Saturday, 24th September as all beauties from the commercial capital are expected to amass for the auditions. A panel of judges will have put the house in order by 8AM in readiness for the process that will only be concluded at 4PM.
Chairman for Miss Blantyre Daniel Ngwira on Monday appealed to aspiring models from the city to be part of the exercise. He also revealed to this publication requirements that will have to be satisfied if the concerned party is to earn eligibility to contest.
“Models must be residents of Blantyre with a minimum of an MSCE certificate. Bring heels, casual outfit, a fitting top and pair of trousers or skirt. This is open to girls within the age range of 18 to 25 years,” said Ngwira
Ngwira also clarified that experience is not required but those joining the chase for the crown should be willing to sacrifice what it takes to lobby for girls’ education. This is in line with this year’s theme which is, keeping the girl child in school.
As gorgeous girls from Blantyre will be training the catwalk moves in readiness for the test, a photoshoot will be taking place. Professional photographers with their cameras pointing to shoot will be changing angles, all for the best of shots.
Passion, skill, and beauty will among other factors determine the judges’ choices on which models to be considered space in the contest. The venue for auditions will surely float in tears of joy that will ooze from the eyes of the chosen.
All successful models in the auditions will fight for the crown which is currently on Chisomo Machero’s head. The holder has until 4th November to clean the crown before surrendering it to the next queen of Blantyre.
