Mwanza Madrid coach Kelvin Nkunika reckons his team would have relished the opportunity of facing Nyasa Big Bullets in the Presidential Cup regional stage.
Mwanza Madrid have been pitted against Max Bullets whereas the 2012 champions Big Bullets have been paired with Sebo Farming in the draw that took place at Chiwembe on Tuesday.
But reacting to the draw, Nkunika made no secret by revealing that his team’s wish was to face off the League Champions.
“We are extremely ready, we have a good team and we shall give Max Bullets a tough time. It’s just unfortunate that we were not drawn against Big Bullets because our wish was to play against them, but all in all it was a fair draw,” he admit
When asked about the possibility of his team progressing into the next phase of the Presidential Cup, the coach sounded very optimistic.
He said: “We want to show everyone that there is talent in districts, to show the nation that teams from districts do have the attributes of performing wonders in big competitions, so I think it will all start from the Max game.”
