Some of the biggest names in Malawi music industry will hit the stage at the 2016 edition of the glamorous and glitzy Malawi Achievers Awards UK to be held on 16 April 2016 in Birmingham, at the red carpet purpose-built CSN International Exhibition and Conference Centre.
The awards are hosted by Malawi Association UK (MAUK) an umbrella body for all Malawian chapter and local association and Malawian groups in Great Britain and Ireland.
It was established in 2014 to recognise and identify deserving unsung heroes and heroines of Malawian decency and making a difference in their communities and tirelessly and selflessly work hard to inspire others.
Piksy and Sonye will join an A-list of other performers such as Scotland-based Malawian artist Sean Focus. Others are Osei Boi and Great Adams from Ghana, Kazz aka Mr Boomslang of the Amina Kadeya fame.
“MAUK will also have a surprise package for the night of a special international billed artist to perform who will take the audience unawares of his presence” the organizers told Malawi24.
This year’s event has a lot of surprises in stock and patrons to the show will have a memorable night adding that there will be surprise international guest artists and entertainers and the fun levellers will be treated to a sumptuous dinner.
People have the opportunity to book a table online and at the same time choose where they want to sit.
“The Awards ceremony operate on no ticket door sales policy and we therefore encourage all those who want to attend this special event to buy their tickets in time to avoid losing out” added the organisers.
