Malawians will read this and fall to remember the scriptures that ‘a prophet is not respected in his homeland’ as South African President Jacob Zuma has commended Malawi’s South African based Prophet Shepherd Bushiri for his endless spiritual and economic contribution to people of South Africa.

Local media reports in the rainbow nation say that Zuma through ANC Treasurer General Zweli Lawrence Mkhize who represented Zuma during the on-going Easter Conference hosted by the great man of God Prophet Shepherd Bushiri.

“We need prayers, prophet for our country. We are behind you and we will support you no matter what comes. I say this because of the joy and peace I see in this church. Prophet we see you as a visionary and a great leader and a true man of God,” explained Mkhize.

“We see every day that your church attracts thousands of people from within and outside South Africa. This is happening despite opposition from some quarters. The question is, are those opposing you more civilised than the judges, members of parliament, lawyers, business tycoons and all men and women I am seeing in this church? Let us ask ourselves that question and we will know that the hand of God is on this young man,” he said.

“South Africa is a sceptical country we don’t believe in foreigners but how did we believe in Bushiri? He is a true man of God. The president has pledged to work with him and as I speak he is very happy for this church and wants the Prophet to help him where necessary,” said Mkhize.

The South African government has also given Bushiri 40 hectors of land to build his infrastructure and continue transforming South Africa economically and spiritually.

Every week, thousands of people from within and outside Africa flock to South Africa to attend Bushiri’s Sunday Services, bringing along forex and boost the Tourism industry.

But back home Bushiri has been criticized by Malawians over his propheces which they have blanded fake as well as his luxurious life, which they claim the Bible has not seen any prophets live under such blissfulness and riches.

His recent donation to the Malawi national football team was not welcome on the government side, amid memersiring reports that he intends to contest in the next elections and the government would want to cut him at the onset.
