Thieves break into house while owner was at church

Two criminals have been arrested for breaking into a house and stealing various items while the owner was at church.

crime (2)Lilongwe Police Station spokesperson Inspector Kingsley Dandaula has identified the suspects as Geoffrey Nkhonjera, 25 and Ali Kamba, 31.

He said on Sunday the two broke into the house located at Kaphiri along the Lilongwe-Dedza M1 Road and stole two laptop computers, two projectors, two cameras, a mobile phone, CD changer, a radio, three school bags, and K10,000 cash.

The police have however recovered all the items except one school bag.

Meanwhile the suspects have been charged with house breaking/theft which is contrary to section 309 of the penal code.

Nkhonjera hails from Musolo village in the area of Traditional Authority (TA) Chikulamayembe in Rumphi district while Ali Kamba from Mtawanga village, TA Tambala in Dedza district.
