Limbe police Criminal Investigation Department officers have arrested a 26 year-old man for burglary and theft.
According to assistant publicist Widson Nhlane, the suspect, Masauso Sitima, broke into a house in the township and stole items worth K108,308.
“The suspect Masauso Sitima broke into the house of a certain person and stole a TV screen, one Dell Laptop and two speakers,” said Nhlane.
According to Nhlane, the owner of the house reported the matter to the law enforcers and their investigations led to the arrest of Sitima.
Police have since recovered the speakers which the owner has also identified.
The suspect will appear before court soon to answer charges of theft.
Sitima hails from Suwele village in the area Traditional Authority Machinjiri in Blantyre.
