Surviving members of Malawi’s Mabilinganya Empire a dancehall group that Mafunyeta founded have been dealt a huge brawl, their house producer, Warge has announced.
The Empire, according to Warge Wanangwa Phiri of Warge Records, is currently under heavy fire from following a spat of venom from Maovololo, Kaystevo, Kasir Blanca and Tamnyata.
“I would like to thank Mabilinganya Empire for leaving the studio during the session by Maovololo and Kay Stevoh. It could have been cold-blooded cruelty for them to see how lyrically ruthless Maovololo dissed them” said Warge on his Facebook.
The producer said he was on dilemma on whether to release the songs or delete them because of his close connection to Mabilinganya. But most people who commented on the post urged him to have the songs released which have been laid on a Mafunyeta Bridge riddim.
The hottest Mafunyeta bridge riddim has been separately used by Maovololo in One Jew, Tamnyata in his Sitikudissika, Ka-Sir Blanca, a member to Malinga Mafia’s Archaida camp, has set fire in Lyrics and Kaystevo in Wamisala. Blaze of Neighbour’s daughter fame has 2 songs on the riddim.
