Malawi national football team striker, Essau Kanyenda, on Saturday afternoon helped his club, Polokwane FC, to beat Jomo Cosmos in the Premier Soccer League (PSL) of South Africa.
Kanyenda scored an opener about 6 minutes into the first half and made the match to be 1-0 till halftime.
In the second half, Jomo Cosmos who features another Malawian player, Micium Mhone, equalised on 68 minute to push the score line to one all but Polokwane scored the winner 10 minutes before the last whistle.
Kanyenda is having good times in this 2015-2016 PSL soccer season in the richest Southern African nation as he has been helping his club to win games many times.
His performances in the PSL this season have impressed local clubs such as Silver Strikers, Big Bullets and Mighty Wanderers who have been approaching him several times to play for their respective clubs.
His contract with Polokwane expires at the end of this PSL season and according to reports, possibilities are high that the club will renew his contract.
