Malawi national football team and Blue Eagles player, Christopher John Banda, says he is optimistic that he will play for Jomo Cosmos FC of South Africa in the remaining games of the Premier Soccer League (PSL) this season.
Banda left Malawi for South Africa about two weeks ago after he was invited for trials at Jomo Cosmos by the club’s owner, Jomo Sono.
The Malawi national football team senior player has claimed that he has already passed his assessment at the club.
“I know people are interested to know more, I have successfully passed the trials and when I was coming here I was already told by Jomo that I had already passed,” said Banda.
According to media reports in South Africa, Jomo Cosmos has a single space remaining for a foreign player since it has already registered four other foreign players as PSL rules say that a team must only sign five foreign players.
If Cosmos signs him, he will be playing alongside his former teammate at Blue Eagles, Micium Mhone, who is enjoying fresh air at Cosmos.
