A few days after Mighty Wanderers trustees announced that the club will be having elections on 30th January, Wanderers supporters Yona Malunga and have come in the open to show their interest to contest as Nomads supporters chairman.
The two have said they are ready to contest for the supporters chairman position so that they replace Bangwe businessman Dennis Chitsulo who is the incumbent.
In an interview, Malunga said he is geared up for the elections and he will do anything to win. He added that he wants to bring motivation to the players as he will be seen in the stands cheering for his beloved team Wanderers.
“Wanderers will never be the same if I will return to my seat because I will always be cheering my team from the stands, as a way of giving the players motivation which in turn will bring success back to the Nomads camp,” said Malunga.
The former Wanderers supporters chairman also said that during his previous stint, Big Bullets were not beating the Nomads in two league games a season but rather the Nomads were beating Bullets, and not losing as it has been the case during Chitsulo’s time.
On his part, Kalipa has said that he is full of confidence that he will win the Nomads supporters hot seat in the coming January elections.
Meanwhile, Chitsulo told one of the local radio stations that he will make an announcement in five days whether he will contest or not in the elections.
