Defender Yamikani Fodya has been named Big Bullets player of the season at Malawi champions awards ceremony where he also scooped the club’s best defender award.

Fodya had been one of the Super League champions’ outstanding players in the 2015 season and he was widely expected to win the award.

At the ceremony, the Blantyre based club commended the players for helping the club to defend the top tier championship and finishing as runners up in Carlsberg Cup.

Other winners at the ceremony include Jafali Chande who received an award for being the best midfielder for the top flight champions and Chiukepo Msowoya who scooped the best striker award after he scored 14 league goals and finished as one of joint top goal scorers alongside Innocent Bokosi of Red Lions.

Former Mighty Wanderers Player, Henry Kabichi, was named the most disciplined player at the club while MacFallen Ngwira – who most people call him next Fischer Kondowe at Bullets – won the up and coming player award.
