Dwangwa gained promotion despite the loss because second placed Support Battalion failed to beat Namitete Rangers in a game that ended 3-3.

The Nkhotakota based side are now topping the Chipiku league table with 79 points whereas Support Battalion have 72 points and both teams have two games remaining to finish the season.

Dwangwa have joined Max Bullets who were the first team to be promoted to the Super League after they were crowned as Nsejjere Southern Region League champions.

Max Bullets were crowned champions after beating Prison United 1-0 from Wongani Zulu’s goal at Sedi ground in Chiradzulu on Saturday.
