Presidential advisor on non-governmental organisations, Mavuto Bamusi, has asked Malawi’s Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) to help government in its efforts to develop the country.

Bamusi: Lets work together.

At the moment, there are disagreements between CSOs and government over delays by Parliament to table the Access to Information bill (ATI) of which for a long time government has avoided.

The CSOs are asking government to come clear on the changes being made in the ATI bill and assure them as to when the bill will be tabled.

However, Bamusi said NGOs and CSOs have the ability to develop this country and move it forward to achieve its goals.

“CSOs and NGOs have the potential in the development of this country if they can properly utilize their resources in various sectors in the country,” said Bamusi.

He added that government is willing to work with CSOs and NGOs in as far as the development of this country is concerned.
