Malawi national team goalie, Simplex Nthala with his brother Lemani together with Harvey Nkacha and budding talent at Blue Eagles F.C, Schumacker Kuwali were earlier in the week netted by police in Lilongwe after they had spilled up a fight at night club, reports say.

According to reports that Malawi24 is following, the two Nthala brothers and Nkacha were netted after the owner of Mimosa Bar near Game stores called police after the three shielded their colleague, Kuwali who was being roughed up by security personnel for unknown reasons.

It is said that Kuwali was involved in a misunderstanding with the security guards before they taught him a few lessons by slapping him hard until the beers he took started getting out of his head.

Nthala (16) got netted.

His other friends then came off from where they were boozing to help him from the harsh hands of the guards until the whole bar was in a mess.

”This is what forced the owner of the drinking joint to call police officers who did not delay but picked the four to cell after they were seen fighting with the guards and also protested the presence of the law enforcers.” said a close source who was at the scene.

At the moment, the social media is awash with a video showing the whole drama as filmed by one of the imbibers at the pub.

However, reports say that Kuwali is still in custody while the other three were released following a visit by the Malawi Defence Force.

It is still not known as to why the security guards were also not arrested, but some people claim that the law enforcers had been asked by the pub owner only to pick the our, whom he said caused problems at his business site.

According to Lilongwe Police publicist, Kingsley Dandaula, the released are on police bail.

It is not known what charges all the four have been placed with.

Simplex Nthala and Kuwali were both with the Malawi national football team in Ethiopia where the Flames were booted out in the Quarterfinals by Uganda.
