The Saints’ season has been mixed with both brighter and cloudy days as in other games they have been giving a promising performance but losses have still followed them along the journey.

The Milias Pofera charges continue to fight for comfort zone in the 2015/2016 TNM Super League season despite the stiff competition in the flagship soccer contest. A win for Airbone has put them in eleventh position, a step behind 2015 Standard Bank Cup winners, Civo Service United who are seven points ahead of the Rangers.

The result has seen the Soldiers adding up to twenty points from twenty one games played so far.

The Dedza side remain in the League’s danger zone as they on the 14th position with 19 points from 21 games.

They are only a step above Fisd Wizards who have been Citizens at the bottom of the table since the League’s preliminary stages.

Fight against relegation is getting tougher and tougher with teams separated by goal difference.

Mzuzu University FC which is in 12th position has the same number of points with 13th placed Epac FC and Dedza Young Soccer Saints.

Super League rules demand demotion of three teams that have finished in the bottom three every season to lower leagues, with back up from history a few newly promoted teams manage to survive the chop.

With Bullets earmarked to defend the title this season, the three rookies’ chances of survival looks minimal.
