EGENCO Request for Proposals: Provision of External Audit Services

REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS FOR PROVISION OF EXTERNAL AUDIT SERVICES BY NATIONAL COMPETITIVE BIDDING
PROCUREMENT REFERENCE NUMBER: EGC844/NCB/CS/FY2026-27

1. The Electricity Generation Company (Malawi) Limited (EGENCO) carries on the business of generating power in the Republic of Malawi.

2. EGENCO has budgeted funds to be used for procurement of External Audit Services.

3. The Chairman, Internal Procurement Committee, now invites proposals from eligible Audit firms to provide External Audit Services.

4. Interested firms may obtain the Request for Proposals and further information from EGENCO’s Procurement and Disposal Unit at the address given in paragraph 8(a) below from 19th October, 2026.

5. A complete set of Bidding Documents in English language may be purchased by interested bidders upon payment of a non-refundable fee of MK25,000.00. The method of payment will be through electronic funds transfer or direct cash deposit as per below banking details:

6. Bids must be delivered to the address at 8 (b) below on or before 9th November, 2026 at 14.00 Hours Local Time. Electronic submission will not be permitted and late bids will be rejected. Thereafter bids will be opened in the presence of bidders or bidders’ representatives who choose to attend the bid opening session at the address shown at 9(c) below.
