About the Organisation

Amaryllis Hospitality Group, an international hospitality brand focused on exceptional accommodation and meetings, invites applications from suitably qualified Malawians for the position of Accountant at one of its managed hotels.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate accounting records and general ledger accounts in line with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
• Prepare financial reports, schedules, and statements, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
• Reconcile financial accounts and monitor compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
• Support internal and external audits and strengthen internal controls.
• Monitor financial transactions and collaborate with teams to improve accounting systems and processes.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance and Accounting.
• Minimum of two (2) years’ relevant experience in a busy, commercially driven organisation.
• Professional qualification such as CA, CPA, ACCA, or equivalent is an added advantage.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, financial reporting, and financial statement analysis.
• Experience using SEMPER ERP and proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Strong analytical, numerical, communication, and problem-solving skills, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
