What started as dancing at a Blantyre hotel car park has landed four young men in court and left them with a K800,000 bill.
The four, Ishma Rashid, 23, Benjamin Nzunga, 24, Kelvin Banda, 25, and Blessings Phiri, 21, were fined after admitting to stepping on money while dancing.
The court heard that the men were at a car park at a hotel in Blantyre when they started dancing and stepping on money.
State prosecutor Lewis Pharaoh told the court that the four engaged in the act at the hotel car park before the matter ended up before the court.
The men pleaded guilty to the charge when it was presented before Magistrate Lawrence Mchilima.
Mchilima ordered each of the four to pay K200,000.
The fines bring the total amount to K800,000.
