Illovo Sugar (Malawi) plc is Malawi’s leading producer of raw, refined and specialty sugars. The company is part of ABF Sugar, a subsidiary of Associated British Foods plc.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and govern the integrated business planning framework, calendar and decision forums, connecting strategy with demand, supply, operational and financial plans.
• Translate organisational strategy into clear priorities, initiatives and performance measures, and monitor risks and benefits.
• Govern demand forecasting and supply planning, challenging assumptions and resolving supply gaps and capacity constraints before commitments are made.
• Lead cross-functional planning forums and develop integrated scenarios, giving executive leadership credible insights and recommendations.
• Direct research and development that supports growth, innovation and competitiveness through defined evaluation and governance stages.

Qualifications and experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Economics, Finance, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Operations Management or a related field.
• 8–10 years’ relevant experience in business planning, strategy, supply chain planning, commercial planning or operational management.
• Demonstrated experience integrating commercial, operational, supply chain and financial plans.
