This is the message from Illovo Sugar Malawi as professionals, business leaders and policymakers converge for the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Malawi (ICAM) Annual Lakeshore Conference.
Illovo Sugar Malawi Financial Controller Chimwemwe Mhango said continuous learning and professional development can help create a skilled workforce capable of contributing meaningfully to the country’s development.
“We firmly believe that investing in people is essential to building a high-performing and accountable organisation,” said Mhango.
He said professional learning also helps employees strengthen their skills while promoting accountability and high standards in the workplace.
Mhango said collaboration between different sectors and professions can further help address challenges facing the country..

The company has then contributed K7 million towards the ICAM Annual Lakeshore Conference.
