Three lucky shoppers, regardless of their bank stand a chance to turn ordinary card swipes into an unforgettable international experience, following the launch of FDH Bank plc’s four-month digital promotion dubbed “Swipe to Dubai.”

The promotion, which runs from February 10 to June 13 this year, was officially launched on Tuesday and is aimed at encouraging the use of electronic payment platforms while rewarding customers for embracing digital transactions.

Speaking at the launch, FDH Bank plc Head of Marketing Ronald Chimchere said the initiative reflects the Bank’s continued commitment to promoting digital banking while giving customers tangible rewards for using card payment services. Chimchere urged customers to increasingly adopt digital transactions, saying every swipe brings them closer to winning.

“We want to reward customers, with an outstanding prize, that is why we have launched this promotion. Three lucky winners will walk away with a fully sponsored trip to Dubai. To qualify, customers are required to spend K20,000 or more and swipe at any Point of Sale (POS) machine available at partnered outlets, including Chipiku and Ekhaya stores nationwide,” said Chimchere.

He further clarified that the promotion is open to all bank card users, not only FDH Bank customers, making it accessible to a wider section of the public. In addition to the grand prize, FDH Bank will also be awarding monthly cash prizes, with 25 customers set to win K100,000 each month throughout the promotion period.

Explaining how customers can participate, Chimchere said, “Once you swipe, write your name and phone number at the back of the receipt. Your swipe will take you on a journey, so let the swiping begin.”

One of the customers present at the launch, Anthony James, welcomed the initiative, describing it as an exciting and rare opportunity for shoppers.
