Duties and Responsibilities
- Direct and coordinate hospital activities related to financial administration, budgets, general accounting, patient accounting and financial and statistical reporting.
- Ensure procurement compliance and financial governance requirements.
- Support Chief Medical Officer to develop financial goals and prepare annual operating budget and quarterly forecasts for the hospital and/or clinics.
- Contribute to the five-year Capex plan for the hospital as part of the hospital's strategic asset replacement planning process.
- Monitor capital asset expenditures and depreciation; ensuring the maintenance of hospital infrastructure (buildings and equipment).Maintain a balance between the quality of healthcare and patient safety against the associated financial implications, when making decisions.
- Develop and maintain good relationships with all partners, internal and external stakeholders.
- Support the hospital's overall management and leadership.
- Promote and adhere to Illovo's procedures, policies and guidelines, including, without limitation, those relating to SHERQ, Competition Law and Anti-Bribery and Corruption (ABC)
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Health Services Management, Public Health, Healthcare Administration, Hospital, Medicine, Nursing, or another health-related field with management experience
- Minimum of five years of increasing responsibility in the healthcare environment preferred;
- Strong analytical skills necessary as well as working knowledge of computer systems.
- Able to work independently, make decisions and solve problems.
- Ability to communicate in a credible and effective manner
- Excellent interpersonal and community skills, team leadership qualities, good communications skills, good temperaments.
