God’s Grace Academy, a Christian institution committed to academic excellence, spiritual growth, and holistic student development, invites applications from enthusiastic and committed individuals for internship opportunities in the Geography Department.

This internship is designed for aspiring educators who wish to gain practical teaching experience in a Christ centred environment while supporting students’ academic and personal growth.

GEOGRAPHY INTERNS (2 POSITIONS)

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Geography Interns will work under the supervision of experienced teachers and contribute to the delivery of effective Geography instruction. Duties include:

• Assisting in planning and delivering Geography lessons in line with the school curriculum.
• Supporting teaching of geographical concepts, theories, and skills.
• Assisting in preparation of schemes of work, lesson plans, and teaching materials.
• Helping with classroom activities, fieldwork, map work, and data interpretation exercises.
• Supporting assessment of students through assignments, tests, and examinations.
• Providing academic support and constructive feedback to students under guidance.
• Assisting in maintaining accurate records of students’ progress and attendance.
• Participating in departmental meetings, school activities, and co-curricular programmes.
• Upholding school policies, safeguarding procedures, and professional standards.
• Integrating Christian values and biblical principles into teaching and student support.

QUALIFICATIONS AND ATTRIBUTES:

The ideal candidate should:

• Be between 22 and 35 years of age.
• Be a mature born-again Christian with a strong personal relationship with Christ.
• Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Education with specialization in Geography or a related field.
• Demonstrate sound knowledge of Geography subject content.
• Show interest in developing competence in map reading, geographical data analysis, and fieldwork.
• Possess discipline, integrity, creativity, and a passion for teaching young people.
• Have good interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills.
• Be willing to learn from experienced teachers and work collaboratively with staff and students.
• Be aligned with and respectful of the Christian ethos and values of God’s Grace Academy.
• Be willing to undergo background checks and comply with child protection and safeguarding policies.
