Overview of NCA-DCA Act Alliance:
Norwegian Church Aid (NCA) is an International Non-Governmental Organization working in over 30 countries around the world. It is a member of the worldwide ACT-Alliance, comprised of 140 churches and church-related organizations cooperating on humanitarian assistance, advocacy, and development. Norwegian Church Aid has been working in Malawi since 2002. In 2021, we joined forces with DCA and have since operated as a Joint Country Programme (JCP). The vision of the Malawi JCP is to contribute to a just, resilient, and inclusive Malawi society for economic growth. We pursue this vision through three interlinked long-term goals: saving lives, building resilient communities, and seeking justice.

The NCA-DCA Malawi Joint Country Programme is excited to announce an opportunity for collaboration with local organizations for the 2027-2031 DANIDA Grant. We invite interested organizations to explore this call for applications and consider how they can contribute to the goals and outcomes outlined in our Country Programme Theory of Change.

We welcome proposals from a variety of entities, including Malawian civil society organizations, faith-based organizations, expert organizations, research institutions, government agencies, private sector partners, youth-led organizations, and women-led organizations that are duly registered and operational in Malawi. Applications can be submitted by individual organizations rather than as consortia.

Submission deadline
The deadline for submission is 11 November 2026. Applications should be submitted to the Country Director, Norwegian Church Aid/Danish Church Aid, by email at [email protected].

Digital Q&A
NCA-DCA Malawi will hold a digital Q&A session on 29th October 2026. Interested partners should register under the subject: “DANIDA CfP Q&A” – clearly stating the organization, with [email protected] until 5:00pm on 27th October 2026. Please note that only one person/Email address per organization is allowed to attend.
