The Football Association of Malawi (FAM) has charged FCB Nyasa Bullets and several individuals following chaotic scenes that marred their 2026 Castel Challenge Cup semi-final clash against Mzuzu City Hammers at Kamuzu Stadium on Sunday.
Those charged include Bullets’ supporters chairman Chingeni Agumbala, and six other supporters namesly Shaibu Woyera, Trouble Kapito, Alick Tsegula, Ganizani Baba, Dyton Bello and Fred Sherrif, over their alleged roles in the disorder that erupted during and after the match.
The charge sheet, signed by FAM general secretary Abdul Chiwalo, gives Bullets 48 hours to respond to allegations, which include assaulting opponents, tampering with the competition area, and obstructing security.

FAM cites Agumbala and a group of supporters for intimidating Hammers players on arrival and during half-time, verbally abusing them and blocking dressing room access.
Bullets are also accused of failing to stop supporters from confronting and manhandling match officials, a serious violation under both FAM and FIFA disciplinary codes.

The club faces another charge of bringing the game into disrepute, highlighting growing concerns about fan behavior under Agumbala’s leadership.
Despite the controversy, Bullets secured a 2-0 win and will face Goshen City Dedza Dynamos in the final, with the spotlight now on how Agumbala and the club respond to FAM’s disciplinary action.
