The Malawi Revenue Authority (MRA), an organization entrusted with the assessment, collection, and accounting for tax revenues for the Malawi Government is inviting applications from versatile and suitably qualified candidates to fill the above vacant position in the Legal Services Division.

Overall Objective

To assist Paralegal with case management.

Main Responsibilities

• Working with Counsel and paralegal to update and maintain case files.
• Compiling legal documentation into files and maintain an organized filing system.
• Assisting paralegal and counsel in locating files and organizing, copying, and maintaining documentation.
• Compiling case materials.
• Filling documents
• Serving  court documents
• Performing general office duties such as typing, operating office machines, sorting mail, etc.
• Creating photocopies and reproductions of records and legal documentation.
• Assisting paralegal with maintaining a library of court judgments and case records.
• Assisting paralegal with research and public searches

Experience and Qualification

•    Certificate in legal studies or similar field.
•    Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.

•    Good planning and organizing skills

Successful candidates before being appointed will undergo an extensive background check of their integrity. Only when the vetting exercise is favourable shall the Authority make the appointment.
