Key responsibilities

• Carry out tiling works under building and civil section for installations, repairs and general maintenance of estate facilities and houses.
• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, levelling and applying appropriate bonding materials before installation of tiles.
• Measure and mark surfaces accurately to ensure correct tile alignment and layout.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition and report defects promptly.
• Estimate material requirements and assist in requisitioning tiles and related supplies.
• Work closely with supervisors and other maintenance personnel to ensure timely completion of projects.
• Promote and adhere to Illovo's procedures, policies and guidelines, including, without limitation, those relating to SHERQ, Competition Law and Anti-Bribery and Corruption (ABC).

Qualifications and experience

• Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE)
• Malawi TEVET Level 2 Certificate or National Trade Test Grade 1 and Malawi Craft Certificate or equivalent qualification in Building Construction, Tiling or related trade
• Minimum of 2 years experience in tiling and general building maintenance.
